Touya attacks just as Gama's first curse loses its effect, allowing him to move, but with his energy still sealed, he is still in a bad situation. Kurama spends all his time trying to dodge Touya's attacks. Eventually, he comes up with a plan to confront Touya and intentionally cuts himself to plant one of his deadly plant seeds in his own body so that he can manifest it as a weapon.
