Yusei meets Roman on a bridge, which triggers an explosion, causing a surge of Ener-D to appear beneath them. They begin to duel, and Yusei manages to attack Roman with Junk Warrior, although this allows Roman to summon Earthbound Immortal Uru. Roman continues to pressure Yusei and manages to reduce his life points to 100.
